My perfect kids weekend in Phoenix would begin with a hotel centrally located in either Phoenix or Scottsdale. Everything in Phoenix is relatively close together, so there wouldn't be a need for too much traveling unless a family wanted to go on a day trip or two.
In terms of activities, there is plenty to do in Phoenix. There are city parks, museums, a variety of unique shops, sporting events, Imax theaters, and National Parks. A family could easily stay occupied in Phoenix for a week or longer. If a family was very adventurous, they could take a trip to the Grand Canyon from Phoenix. Also, what little kid doesn't enjoy a game of professional baseball?
In terms of dining, there are many different options in the Phoenix area. Phoenix has a Hard Rock Cafe, Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville, and many other chain restaurants. There are also many inexpensive specialty restaurants in the downtown area.
If a family is really in a mood to go shopping, there is the Arizona Mills Mall. This mall contains outlet stores for some of today's most famous names in fashion as well as kids stores such as Carters. |
